VERSE ONE:
Come, Thou Redeemer of the Earth and manifest Thy virgin-birth.
All lands admire, all times applaud such is the birth that fits True God.
VERSE TWO:
Begotten of no human will, and One with Father Thou are still.
The Word of God in flesh arrayed, the Promised Fruit to us displayed.
VERSE THREE:
The virgin womb, such burden gained with virgin honor all unstrained.
Mary’s banners of virtue glow; God, in His temple, dwells below.
VERSE FOUR:
Forth from His chamber goes now He, that royal home of purity.
Christ, now both God and human one, rejoices now His course to run.
VERSE FIVE:
From God the Father He proceeds, to God the Father back He speeds.
He was by all the world disowned, yet now in Heaven’s glory throned.
VERSE SIX:
True equal at the Father’s side, with human nature now abide.
The weakness of our mortal state, with deathless might, invigorate.
VERSE SEVEN:
They cradle here shall glitter bright, and darkness yield to Earth’s True Light.
Thy endless reign shall shine serene, and twilight never intervene.
VERSE EIGHT:
All laud Eternal Son to Thee, Whose Advent sets Thy people free,
Whom with the Father we adore and Holy Ghost forevermore. Amen.
